Have you taken adult, community or continuing education classes after graduation?

I teach classes for a local community college and public school adult education program. There are tons of fun and interesting classes but few students in comparison to the number of people in the community. I look at the catalog of classes and am shocked how few people are taking the classes, just shocked.

Why do so few people continue their education after graduation from college?

What is the difference between certificates and continuing education classes??

I attend a community college district that offers the usual Associates degrees… the first two years of school.

However, they also offer certificates and continuing education.

My sister is dead set on me taking a continuing education course in electrocardiography because she claims I can find a job in the hospital just performing those functions.

What gives with these continuing education classes? Who are they for? Would I be better off just getting a cerftificate or degree? Do EKG (ECG) Techs perform alone, or is it just one of the tasks of a medical assistant??

Thanks!
Do you need experience or a certificate to be an EKG tech? What does it take?
